ShaunSouthworth.com is an educational and media hub, not a legal intake portal. This notice explains the site itself. A linked service—including Southworth PC's intake—has its own notice.

This personal website is operated by Shaun Southworth. It uses Google Analytics 4 to understand its audience, measure how content performs, and improve the site.

Google Analytics 4

Audience measurement is active across this website.

As of July 27, 2026, ShaunSouthworth.com uses Google Analytics 4 with Enhanced Measurement enabled. The Google Analytics measurement ID is G-5KCB516KQ0.

Google Analytics may measure page views, scrolling, outbound link clicks, site searches, video engagement, file downloads, and form interactions. It may also process page addresses and titles, referring pages, campaign information, dates and times, browser and device information, approximate geography, and randomized browser or device identifiers. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies, including cookies that may ordinarily remain for up to two years unless they are deleted or limited by browser settings.

A browser necessarily transmits an IP address when connecting to Google's service. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses and uses them only before discarding them to derive approximate location information. Google Analytics email-address redaction is active for this data stream.

Analytics is used to understand traffic sources, audience and device trends, engagement with Shaun's writing and media, and which resources are useful. It is not a legal-intake or case management system. Do not submit case facts, medical information, personnel records, or confidential communications through this personal website.

Event-level and user-level data retention are set to the 14-month maximum available in this Google Analytics property. User retention resets when new activity occurs. Standard aggregated reports may remain available longer.

Enhanced Measurement is enabled. At launch, Google Signals, User-ID, user-provided data collection, Google Ads linking, remarketing, and personalized-advertising features are not enabled for this property.

The Analytics account permits aggregated, de-identified measurement contributions for modeling and business insights, technical-support access when needed, and account recommendations. Google processes information under the Google Analytics Terms, the Google Ads Data Processing Terms accepted for this account, and Google's privacy commitments.

ShaunSouthworth.com does not sell personal information or share personal information from this site for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

Configuration and retention

The notice reflects the live Analytics settings.

Newsletter signup, legal intake, the media-request form, podcast listening, book purchases, and social engagement happen on other services.

When you select an external link, the destination and its providers may receive ordinary connection information, including your IP address, browser information, and the referring page. Enhanced Measurement may record the outbound link event. The media-request link may also pass campaign labels attached to the page address so the external form can identify the source of a request. External services may use cookies or other technologies under their own terms and privacy policies.

Review the destination's notice before providing contact, payment, employment, health, or legal information. A media-request form is not a legal-intake form. Do not submit confidential case information there.

Choices and browser controls

You can limit analytics through your browser.

You can block or delete cookies, use browser privacy controls or content-blocking tools, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Limiting cookies or scripts may reduce the information available in Analytics but does not prevent ordinary use of this site.

Because the site does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, the same no-sale and no-targeted-advertising practice applies whether or not a browser sends a Global Privacy Control or legacy “Do Not Track” signal. Browser settings and extensions may separately block analytics technology.

Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have rights concerning personal information an operator actually holds, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about processing. Requests may require reasonable identity verification and may be subject to legal exceptions.

If you email a listed address, the sender, recipient, and their email providers process the address, message, attachments, and technical delivery information. Email is not guaranteed to be confidential or secure. Do not use a personal-site or media email address to transmit a legal deadline, case facts, evidence, medical records, personnel records, or privileged communications.

Hosting, children, and scope

The linked ecosystem has separate policies.

Hosting and security infrastructure may automatically process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. That can include an IP address, browser and device information, requested page, date and time, referring page, country or approximate region derived from an IP address, and security or error events. Those records may be retained according to hosting settings and legitimate security, troubleshooting, and operational needs.

The site is directed to adults and is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted information through a connected channel, contact the operator of that channel and the address above.
